Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Lerwick

Indian Ahar

11 Harbour St, Lerwick, Shetland ZE1 0LR, UK – 01595 697552

Eaten from here a few times and would say it's currently the best Indian takeaway in Lerwick

Better than the Brae Indian at it's best

Hay's Dock Cafe Restaurant

Hays Dock, Lerwick ZE1 0WP, UK – 01595 741569

What a wonderful place to catch up with an old friend. Lovely ambience, super conversation, friendly, efficient staff, and the food was locally sourced and out of this world! We would have taken a photo of dessert too, but they looked so good we'd eaten them before realising! Glad we booked our table well in advance - it was fully booked! 5 out of 5 stars - simply faultless. We'll be back! 😊🍴😊

Good burger, salad and chips. Nice sea view. Very busy but you can still relax too

fjara cafe restaurant bar, Lerwick

Mainland, Shetland ZE1 0GF, UK – 01595 697388

On holiday in Shetland, hungry and running out of options for somewhere nice for dinner, everywhere else in Lerwick fully booked, we found this cafe after a recommendation from the staff at the Shetland museum. We rang for a dinner table and they were able to squeeze us in. Once in we received excellent service, the menu all looked delicious and food we ordered was really nice. The best burgers we have eaten in Scotland! Great view over the sea as well. The meal was so nice we returned for lunch the next day. Again we were greeted with great service and had the most delicious Caesar salads. Credit to the chef's working hard being the scenes and the front of house team. I would recommend this place to everyone. Thank you for making our holiday more enjoyable.

Just about the best food on Shetland. I had a steak sandwich with caramelized onions and Jarlsberg cheese for a late lunch. The slaw was creamy enough and not too creamy. I had an Earl Grey tea made with loose leaf that was worth the extra £1.50. I had one scoop of clotted cream ice cream and it was delicious too. The view of the North Sea is stunning.
